Research results of Lake Suigestu give us an opportunity to learn about paleoclimatology. By examining pollens in the varves of Lake Suigetsu, we can find what kind of plants grew around the lake in each age. This gives us clues to know the general landscape and climate of each period in the past. We re-created the transition of landscapes around Lake Suigestu from 70,000 years ago up to the present time.
